Points, Rule Tokens & the Rules
Every way to earn Culling Games points, how 100 points banks a Rule Token, and the full roster of rules you can enact.
Points are the heartbeat of the Games. They set your rank, feed the season ladder, and - most importantly - every 100 points you bank earns a Rule Token you can spend to change the match itself.
Earning points
| Source | Points |
|---|---|
| Exorcising a player | 25 (+3 per kill on your streak, up to +15) |
| Killing the leader | Their bounty on top - the longer they lead, the fatter it gets |
| Revenge on your rival | +15 bonus with a REVENGE beat |
| Curse kill | 3 |
| Special Grade curse | 12 |
| Colony elite | 20 |
| Roaming boss | 60 (always full value, plus a shot at a Sukuna Finger) |
| In-match events | Big one-off payouts (e.g. the Descent elite pays 80) |
Every gain pops on screen with its source, and notable beats echo to your chat with your token progress.
The counterweights
The economy is tuned so fighting players is always the best play:
- Curse camping decays: your first stretch of PvE kills pays full, then value steps down toward a floor. Fighting a real player resets it. Roaming bosses always pay in full.
- Idle decay: hiding bleeds points slowly. Keep moving, keep fighting.
- Death costs you: dying burns a slice of your own points (your items are safe - see How to Join).
- No kill-trading: repeatedly killing the same victim in a short window pays less each time.
- You get a few seconds of spawn protection on every respawn.
Rule Tokens: 100 points, your rules
Bank 100 cumulative points and you hold a Rule Token. Open the Rule Board
(/cullingrules or through /kogane) and spend it to enact a rule instantly - no votes, no
waiting. The board shows each rule’s cost, cooldown, and active state, plus a progress bar to your
next token.
A few caps keep the chaos readable: only a few rules can be active at once, and each player can enact a limited number per match.
The rules roster
| Rule | Cost | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Heavenly Restriction | 1 | Cursed energy is sealed for everyone. Fists and steel only. |
| Chase the Leader | 1 | The front-runner glows for all to see and carries a fat bounty. |
| Binding Vow | 2 | Every exorcism pays double while it holds. |
| Curse Surge | 1 | A tide of curses floods the colony. |
| Blood Moon | 1 | Curses spawn at double density in every colony. |
| Domain Clash | 2 | A sure-hit domain erupts on the leader; everyone inside is revealed and chipped. |
| Exposed | 1 | Every minute, all competitors glow for ten seconds. Nobody hides. |
| Famine | 1 | No natural healing while it holds. |
| Golden Grade | 1 | The next exorcism by anyone pays triple. |
| Energy Wipe | 1 | Instantly drains everyone’s cursed energy to empty. |
| Reincarnation | 2 | A reincarnated sorcerer of the old age is loosed; its killer claims a huge bounty. |
| Sudden Death | 3 | No more respawns. The next death is final. |
| Quiet | 1 | Counter - silences an active rule early. |
| Callout | 1 | Counter - exposes who enacted the most recent rule. |
Every rule announces itself loudly: Sudden Death brings a heartbeat and a red bar, Heavenly Restriction seals your energy bar on screen, Domain Clash flickers violet on chipped players.
Sudden Death changes everything
Under Sudden Death, elimination is real. One consolation: a player eliminated under it gets a single Return as a player of the old age offer - re-enter once with an event kit and a borrowed technique. The borrowed technique can never be kept, stored, or spun away, and your own technique returns the moment the match releases you.
Watch the board, not just the fight
Rules are information. If the leader enacts Famine, they are telling you they are healthy. If someone burns three tokens on Sudden Death, they think they are the last one standing. Counter with Quiet, or unmask them with Callout.
