Breeding & Pastures

Arcadia has full Cobblemon breeding. Two compatible Pokemon in a pasture make an egg, the egg carries their genes, and every egg rates itself so you always know whether you hatched a keeper.

How to breed

1. Craft and place a pasture block (press R on it in your inventory to see the recipe).
2. Put two compatible Pokemon inside: same egg group with opposite genders, or one Ditto plus almost anything.
3. Wait. An egg appears in the pasture after roughly 7 to 12 minutes.
4. Collect the egg and carry it with you - it hatches as you walk, just like the games. Hoppers can pull eggs out of a pasture if you want to automate collection.

You can run 2 breeding pastures at once, with 5 slots each.

The Egg Report

Every egg you collect writes its own report. Hover the egg and the tooltip shows:

• A star rating (1-6★) based on how many perfect IVs it rolled
• The full IV line, color-coded (green = perfect 31), with the total out of 186
• Its nature, with the stats it raises and lowers
• Its ability - flagged if it is the Hidden Ability
• An estimated market value in Grit, weighing the species, IVs, nature, Hidden Ability, and shiny - use it as the shared price anchor when you sell eggs on /market
• A plain verdict: from “KEEP - elite genes” down to “Filler - wonder trade fodder”

No more hatching mystery boxes: sort your eggs before you spend the walking time, and feed the filler straight into wonder trade.

What passes down

• Hidden Abilities can be inherited - breeding is the reliable path to HA Pokemon.
• Regional forms (Alolan, Galarian, Hisuian, Paldean) and cosmetic variants pass down.
• Natures and IVs mix from the parents; hold items like the Everstone and Destiny Knot work as you expect.

Shiny hunting: the Masuda method

Breed two Pokemon from different game languages and the egg’s shiny odds are 4x better than a wild encounter. Combine that with the Egg Report and a hatching route through town, and you have Arcadia’s most comfortable shiny grind.

The rules

To keep the economy honest:

• No legendary, mythical, paradox, or ultra beast breeding. Those are earned, not farmed - see Legend Trials.
• Ditto + Ditto is blocked. No random-egg farming.
• Undiscovered egg group Pokemon (babies, most event mons) cannot breed, same as the games.

Wonder trade

Got a pile of filler eggs and hatchlings? /wondertrade (or /wt) trades any Pokemon - any level - for a random one from the pool. Every hatch you feed in makes the pool more interesting for everyone, and there is a small chance the pool hands back something shiny.
