Terms of Service
Last updated July 16, 2026 · Effective July 16, 2026
Welcome to Arcbound. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Arcbound (“Arcbound”, “we”, “us”, “our”) covering your use of the Arcbound Minecraft network, its game servers (Arc One and Arc Two / Arcadia), the Arcbound launcher, the Arcbound website at arcbound.org, our web store, our Discord community, and everything connected to them (together, the “Service”). Please read them. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Arcbound is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Mojang Studios, Microsoft, or the Pokemon Company. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios. All game content, mods, and cosmetics are provided by us and our contributors, not by those companies.
1. Who can use Arcbound (eligibility)
You must own a legitimate, paid copy of Minecraft: Java Edition and sign in with your own Microsoft account. You may not use someone else’s account or share yours.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in the country where you live if that age is higher, to use the Service on your own. If you are under that age, you may not create an account or make purchases, and your use of Minecraft itself is limited to what Minecraft and its own account rules permit. If you are between that age and the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, and that parent or guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your activity, including any purchases. Parents or guardians with questions can contact us at [email protected].
2. Your account and login
Arcbound uses Microsoft sign-in (OAuth) so you can prove you own your Minecraft account. Your in-game identity (your Minecraft username and UUID) comes from Mojang and Microsoft, not from us. We do not create Minecraft accounts, we do not set or see your Microsoft password, and we cannot recover a Microsoft or Mojang account for you.
You are responsible for keeping your Microsoft account and any linked accounts secure. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account on the Service. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been misused on Arcbound.
3. You own nothing that belongs to Mojang or Microsoft
Your rights to Minecraft itself come from your agreement with Mojang and Microsoft, including the Minecraft End User License Agreement and Usage Guidelines. Nothing in these Terms gives you any ownership of Minecraft, its code, or its assets. Your use of Minecraft through Arcbound must always comply with Mojang’s rules.
4. Server rules
Playing on Arcbound means following the Arcbound community rules, which cover conduct, cheating, exploits, harassment, and similar behavior. Those rules are published in our Discord and are part of these Terms by reference.
We may update the rules at any time. Breaking them can lead to warnings, muting, removal of purchased perks, kicks, temporary bans, or permanent bans, at our discretion (see Section 8).
5. The store, virtual goods, and payments
5.1 What you are buying
Our store sells in-game digital items and perks, such as ranks, Arc Coins (our in-game currency, also shown in-game as “Arc Coin”), cosmetics (hats, cloaks, particles, titles, emotes and similar), crate keys, boosters, and passes (“Virtual Goods”). Virtual Goods are cosmetic, convenience, or progression items. Arcbound does not sell competitive power or advantage for real money.
5.2 Virtual Goods are a license, not property
When you obtain a Virtual Good you receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use it within the Service. You do not own it. Virtual Goods:
- have no real-world monetary value and are not money, credit, or a financial instrument,
- cannot be redeemed, cashed out, sold, or exchanged for real money or anything of real value outside the Service,
- cannot be transferred between accounts except through features we officially provide (for example, gifting a purchase to another player at checkout), and
- may be changed, rebalanced, replaced, suspended, or removed by us at any time, including as part of updates, seasons, or world resets.
5.3 Who handles your payment (PayNow)
Store payments are processed by PayNow, our third-party payment provider, acting as the Merchant of Record for your purchase. This means PayNow, not Arcbound, sells the transaction to you, collects your payment, calculates and remits applicable taxes, and presents its own buyer terms and checkout policies at the time of payment. PayNow handles your card and billing details directly. Arcbound never receives or stores your full card number or banking details.
When you check out, you tell us the Minecraft username that should receive the items (yours, or a friend’s if you are gifting). You are then sent to PayNow’s hosted checkout to pay. After a successful payment, PayNow notifies our system and we deliver the Virtual Goods to the chosen username in-game.
You agree to PayNow’s terms as presented at checkout in addition to these Terms. If PayNow’s terms and these Terms conflict about how a payment itself is handled, PayNow’s terms govern the payment; these Terms still govern your use of the Virtual Goods and the Service.
5.4 Refunds
All sales of Virtual Goods are final. Because Virtual Goods are delivered digitally and often immediately, we do not offer refunds or exchanges once an item has been delivered to an account, except where a refund is required by law. Where a refund is legally required or otherwise granted, it is processed through PayNow as the Merchant of Record.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, some digital purchases carry a statutory right to withdraw. By buying a Virtual Good and asking for it to be delivered immediately, you consent to that immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose the right to withdraw once delivery has begun.
5.5 Chargebacks
If you dispute or reverse a payment with your bank or card provider (a “chargeback”) instead of contacting us first, we may suspend or permanently remove the disputed Virtual Goods and any related perks, and we may restrict or ban the accounts involved from future purchases or from the Service. If you think a charge is wrong, contact us first at the address in Section 12, or use the receipt PayNow emailed you.
5.6 Pricing and availability
Prices, products, and availability can change at any time. Some items are limited, seasonal, or tied to a specific arc or world and may stop being available or stop functioning after a season or world reset (see Section 7).
6. Creator and referral codes
We may offer creator or referral codes and attribution links. Using a code may credit a creator with your sign-up or purchase. You may not abuse these features, create fake accounts or purchases to earn credit, or use codes in a misleading way. We may withhold rewards and disable codes we believe are being abused.
7. Service availability, updates, seasons, and world resets
We provide the Service on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise any particular uptime, and the Service may be unavailable during maintenance, updates, or outages.
Arcbound is a living, evolving network. We regularly change, add, and remove content, features, mods, cosmetics, and game balance. Arcs run in seasons and new worlds. Worlds, maps, seasons, leaderboards, player progress, and in-game items may be reset, wiped, changed, retired, or archived at any time, including when a season ends or a new world launches (for example, when a new Arc One season or world begins). Virtual Goods and perks are a revocable license with no monetary value and no guarantee of persistence across seasons or resets. As a general rule, cosmetics and rank perks are intended to persist across seasons and resets as described in their product description, while worlds, maps, and gameplay progress may not. We will try to communicate significant resets in advance through the launcher, website, or Discord, but resets are a normal part of the Service and are not a failure of it. A reset does not entitle you to a refund of Virtual Goods.
8. Conduct and enforcement
You agree not to cheat, exploit bugs, use unauthorized modifications that give an unfair advantage, disrupt the Service, harass other players, or break the server rules or the law while using Arcbound.
We may take any action we consider appropriate to protect the Service and its community, including removing content, revoking Virtual Goods, and suspending or terminating access, with or without notice. Enforcement decisions are at our discretion. We are not required to refund Virtual Goods when an account is suspended or banned for breaking these Terms or the server rules.
9. User content
You may create builds, send chat messages, choose usernames and titles, and otherwise contribute content while using the Service (“User Content”). You are responsible for your User Content and it must follow these Terms and the server rules. We may moderate, hide, or remove any User Content, including builds, chat, and names, at our discretion.
You keep whatever rights you already have in your User Content. By using the Service you give Arcbound a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use your User Content as needed to operate, moderate, promote, and improve the Service. This includes using gameplay footage and screenshots of the public servers, which may show builds, chat, or usernames, to promote Arcbound. We may remove any User Content at our discretion.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any data or progress will be preserved.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arcbound and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, progress, Virtual Goods, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of fifty US dollars ($50) or the total amount you paid to us (through PayNow) in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty or liability exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, note it through the launcher, website, or Discord. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you and Arcbound agree to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section removes any right you have to bring a claim in your own country’s courts where the law gives you that right.
