The Crystal Curse
Every monster so far came back from somewhere. This one did not. It was born here.
The Games have fed on weeks of fear and slaughter, and that much death, concentrated under one barrier, does not just empower curses. It manufactures them. The Crystal Curse is the Games’ firstborn: a thing of refracting facets that freezes its victims in crystal, perfect, preserved, and aware.
The Raid
The arena fills with crystallized sorcerers, the curse’s previous challengers. Some of them can still be saved, if you shatter the right facets in the right order. Some of them are bait.
| Mechanic | Threat |
|---|---|
| Refraction | Beams split and bounce between crystal pillars |
| Encasement | Caught players crystallize; allies must break them out |
| The Choir | Frozen victims amplify the curse while they stand |
Rewards
Prism-cut weapons, the Crystal raid crate, and the Refracted cloak.
What it means
Kenjaku’s ritual is not just opening graves anymore. It is writing new names into them. If the Games can create something like this in weeks, the question is no longer what the barrier will bring back. It is what the barrier will make next.
